2012-13 Schedule Mix of Familiar and New
CHESHIRE, Conn. — As the first widespread frost and freeze advisories go out around northern New England, officials at East Coast Snocross (ECS) have announced seven of nine planned events on their 2012-2013 racing schedule.
With an early layer of snow already atop the highest peaks, excitement is starting to build for what should be a highly competitive season. A number of the region's veteran meteorologists and even those at the Farmer's Almanac are predicting a cold and snowy winter for the northeast.
"We feel we've put together a pretty solid schedule at some excellent venues," said ECS General Manager Shawn Longbook. "Most of the sites are familiar to our teams; with hosts that were very gracious in the past and wanted us back. I also think the new sites we'll visit have a lot of potential. I expect this to be the most competitive season to date for ECS. We're all very excited about the arrival of winter."
2012-2013 ECS Season Schedule Now Posted
The long awaited schedule for the 2012-13 ECS snocross season is now posted under the Events menu and features a few new venues on top of familiar East Coast Snocross whistlestops! Once again the season gets underway at the beautiful Burke Mountain Ski Resort in East Burke, Vermont and concludes at the Titus Mtn. Family Ski Resort in Malone, NY.
One of the major event shifts will be with our joint ECS/ISOC Eastern Nationals in February. After 3 years of traveling to the Fingerlakes Gaming Casino in Farmington, the event now moves to the Southwestern part of New York and stops at the Seneca Allegany Casino & Hotel in Salamanca, NY. New venues like this generate large amounts of excitement when moved to a new market, so make sure this is a "must-attend" stop this winter.
A couple of site TBAs are simply awaiting final confirmation and notices will be posted in the very near future. The temperatures are dropping and the snows have already begun and sound of revving 2-stroke motors is just around the corner!
